We are an English family who several years ago had a thought that we would like to escape the rat race and do something different. The thought was to move to this beautiful area of Turkey nestled on the side of the mountains in the village of Ovacik.

In September 2005 whilst on holiday we decided that when we returned to UK we would set everything in motion to make the move. It took a lot of work, giving up nearly everything that we had and selling up but in April 2006 we were able to make the move. It took four days to drive from UK to Ovacik but it was an experience that we will not forget.

The team consist of Diane and her partner Tim; Diane’s daughter Sam with partner Dan and late comer, Diane’s son Jordan who stayed behind in the UK to finish his schooling. He is now taking a break to decide what he wants to do next.

Two other members of the team are Poppy – Labrador X age 12 and Blue- golden Retriever age 7 who also came to Turkey in the car.
